Kassandra Talbot, Ed.D., and Harold Shields

Kassandra Talbot, Ed.D., is a school principal in La Honda-Pescadero Unified School District and an education researcher with more than 10 years of P–12 experience. Her work centers rural education, youth agency, equity, and culturally sustaining pedagogy, including youth participatory action research on local history. Harold Shields is an education leader and strategy consultant based in San Francisco. He holds an M.A. in Politics and Education from Teachers College, Columbia University, and has led education programs in urban schools, special education, and nonprofit settings.
