Dear Class of 2019, Don’t Do It For the Culture, You Are the Culture!

Our 9th graduating class walked across the aisle this week. It represented my final graduation as the principal of Mastery Charter – Shoemaker Campus, was, of course, so special to me.

I am grateful that our sister, Brittany Packnett, came to share our day with us and to help us celebrate with our families and community.

Here is her message to Shoemaker’s Class of 2019 (and to the rest of us too).

My teachers and parents always told me that “We’re gonna hold up the blood-stained banner, we’re gonna hold it up until we die.” May I be worthy of such weighty work.
